Seine River Cruise Experience In Paris

To begin exploring the city of Paris, we decided to take a boat tour along the River Seine.

Indeed, cruising on a boat to see the romantic city of Paris, is in most cases on the must-do list of travelers.

✦ Seine River Cruise Experience

The cruise allowed us to take in many of the highlights of the city from the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Musée d’Orsay, Notre Dame, among many others.

During the boat trip, we were also able to see quaysides, bridges, banks and the most beautiful avenue in Paris.

Paris has 37 bridges. On the boat tour, the tour guide offered us a lot of information including the history of these different bridges along the famous River Seine. Just to mention a few of them that I found really fascinating:

✦ The Pont Royal Bridge

This is one of the oldest bridges in Paris. It goes over the River Seine cross by the Louvre Museum.

This bridge has arches and it is one of the historical monuments in the city of Paris.

Certainly, the Pont Royal Bridge has great views of the city.

✦ Pont Alexandre III Bridge on River Seine

Pont Alexandre is known to be the most attractive bridge in the city of Paris.

The bridge has the view of the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, the Grand Palace, and the Paris Wheel.

This bridge has a long history of Russian and French relations. The beauty of the bridge is in golden marvelous sculptures and it is without a doubt, the city’s most opulently decorated bridge.

Probably if I were to create a shortlist of places the visitor must walk in Paris, that list would include a stroll across this magnificent bridge.

✦ The Mary Bridge on River Seine

Apparently, Mary Bridge is a romantic bridge.

This is the reason why while cruising on Seine River and then when you are under this bridge, you have to close your eyes and kiss your partner. Then you also have to make a wish and the legend has it that all the wishes come true.
