My best experience in the island of Crete is the Crete Semi Submarine.
This is actually an adventure with a converted catamaran, that is used to take visitors to discover the aquatic life of Agios Nikolaos in Crete.
What to Expect on Board
There is a working air conditioner, which gives it a nice touch. Also there is a vending machine with items such as snacks and beverages, and lastly, there are washrooms.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming on board. And everything is done in an organized and a safe manner.
In addition, there is a multi lingual commentary throughout the experince of the Crete Semi Submarine
The Experince of the Crete Semi Submarine
In the first session, we were split into 2 groups. This was for the two sections of the underwater part of the catamaran. In this part, we sat back to back on the long benches.
Looking through the submerged windows on each side enabled us to see the beautiful rock formations and sea life. The sea was very clear and visibility was excellent.
The crew threw food over the side to encourage sea life. We had an amazing view of fish, eels and sea turtles.
The second part was the return to port, where we all went above the deck for a trip around the bay. Indeed, we had great views of the Cretan coastline.
Conclusion on the Crete Semi Submarine
