La Ramblas is one of the most famous streets in the city of Barcelona.
This is a beautiful seaside city that has breathtaking architecture and it is one of the world’s most captivating cities.
Besides, the food scene in this city is great. The following are some of the reasons why I think that Barcelona is an amazing food destination:
- There is a wide range of wine scenes and a lot of sommeliers
- Great cocktail programs
- Chefs that have fresh ideas
- A wide variety of restaurants
- Stores that are dedicated to singular perfection, for instance, bread, espresso, chocolate, ice cream, etc…

La Ramblas has a series of streets that are beautifully laid out.
There are hotels, restaurants, shops and interesting street performers, just to mention but a few.
This street is full of life whether it’s during the day or night. No wonder, it is most of the time crowded with tourists and the locals.
Certainly, it is relaxing to take steps back by having to sit in one of the many cafes on this street. Then order a drink and watch the world go by. Enjoying being in the Catalan Capital without the stress of having to force ourselves through the crowds.

The walk to the far end of the street of La Ramblas leads to the Columbus monument.
This is the monument that was constructed in honor of Christopher Columbus. It is one of the attractions that you have to visit while in this city.
Inside the monument, there is a lift to take you to the top where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the port and the city of Barcelona.
✦ The Marina Port Vell
After a stroll through La Ramblas and a stopover at the Columbus Monument in Barcelona, the next one should be to enjoy a sunset at the Marina Port Velle.
This a focal point of the city that contains the many other major attractions. These include the Barcelona Aquarium, the gothic quarters and the famous Barceloneta beach, just to mention but a few.
The area is lively and popular with the visitors and the locals. In addition, there are quite a number of things to do and to see in this area.
