The City of Arts and Sciences is one of the most beautiful cultural and entertainment complexes in Europe.

Indeed, the City of Arts and Sciences is the most modern part of the city of Valencia. Besides, this is the most popular tourist attraction of this city and one of the 12 Treasures of Spain.

The complex consists of the following buildings:

✦ 1. Opera House in City of Arts and Sciences

(Spanish: Palau de les Artes Reina Sofía)

This is the most outstanding building in this complex. And it is spectacular in shape, size, and style.

Inside the Opera House, there is a state of the art equipment and exciting programs that you can’t miss pot while in this city.

(Spanish: El Oceanográfico )

This is a marine park in the City of Arts and Science.

In this marine park, visitors can enjoy watching the sea life from the main seas and oceans of the world.

It is made up of different marine areas that are structured into 2 levels.

Also, these areas house exhibitions of typical environments and ecosystems of the oceans and seas from all over the world.

Last but not least, the marine park has a spectacular dolphinarium and an auditorium.

This museum is also in the City of Arts and Sciences complex. The structure of this museum looks like a skeleton of a very huge shark or a whale.

It is a huge building that contains interactive science material. These touch on topics like electricity, human body, sound, and light, just to mention but a few.

Most of the exhibitions in this museum are permanent, with a couple of temporary sections. Besides, some of the exhibits are for purely having fun, while others require some thinking.

The Ágora is a huge unique structure.

In addition, the roof of the Agora has a movable component that can be opened and closed. And as a result, when it’s closed, it has a maximum height of 70 meters above ground level, and when it’s opened, the maximum height is more meters.

(Spanish: L´Hemisfèric)

This is a uniquely designed building that has an oval-shaped roof that resembles an eye when magnified. It signifies wisdom’s eye.

(Spanish: L’Umbracle)

This is a botanical garden that is located in the City of Arts and Sciences.

In a nutshell, the visitors can stroll around and see the typical Mediterranean plants and contemporary art.

  • The public car park of the City of Arts and Sciences is located just below the Umbracle
