El Lago Verde is also known as the green lagoon. It is one of the top sites to visit when on this island. Not only is it interesting to know why the water in the lake is green but, it is also fascinating to see it.

This lake was formed after the salty seawater was trapped. With time, the water in this lake has turned green and this is due to the algal blooms that occupy it.

NB: The water in this lake is toxic and therefore, do not go for a swim here or go stepping on it.
