Weight Loss After Pregnancy

The weight loss journey after the pregnancy do not have to be stressful. And this should be the case if you use the right approach. It also requires a lot of patience and what may have worked for the other person may not work for you.

The following is a list of healthy and safe tips that I used in my own journey:

✦ Before the Pregnancy

In case, you want to lose your weight after the pregnancy a little bit easier, then you have to embrace a healthy lifestyle one year or more way before.

This way, the body will be more prepared for it. And the probability that you are going to maintain this lifestyle when pregnant is higher.

It includes staying away from fast food, smoking, and alcohol, eating healthy, staying hydrated, and last but not least, exercising.

✦ During the Pregnancy

✦ 1. Exercise

From my own experience, I know it is not easy to maintain the exercising routine when pregnant. This is especially in the third trimester when the body feels so tired. But try as much as you can to walk and to do yoga for pregnant women.

✦ 2. Not Eating For Two

During the pregnancy, a healthy diet is key. This will help the mother not to add unnecessary extra weight.

There exists a theory that a pregnant woman has to eat two. But the reality is that the small human growing in your body just needs healthy nutrients to develop well.

Just adding healthy snacks in between your meals and drinking enough water, will be enough for both you and your baby.

✦ After Giving Birth

This is the hardest part of this journey of weight loss after pregnancy. And the reason being that you need to give your body time to rest and to recover. To top it up, the new mother is also trying to adapt to motherhood.

Remember after popping out that baby, continue eating healthy, stay active, exercise, and stay hydrated.

The other old tip that your mother will tell you, is to breastfeed. Unfortunately, not every mother is able to breastfeed, but if you can try. This is good for you and your little one. Wishing you all the best in this journey!
