I’m Anne Wambui Kanyi and I was born and raised in Kenya. While growing up, I always dreamt of traveling but I had never really done anything about it until when I went on a vacation to Cape Town. I really enjoyed it and I promised myself to discover more about the world and more about myself.
In 2014, I got married to the love of my life and then I moved to Belgium. Fortunately, my husband and I have one thing in common; we love traveling and we consider travel to be loaded with opportunities for growth and learning. Traveling was our dream and we decided to go out and make it happen. And the rest is history….
Traveling has definitely opened my eyes in that a different area, language, and culture, teaches me about my likes and dislikes, my purpose, and what things give meaning in life.
I’m a lover of anything positive and I enjoy sharing my travels and my real life experiences to inspire and to enlighten others. In late 2016, I decided to start Wambui’s Diaries. This is a site dedicated to sharing our travel stories, experiences and travel tips to help people travel more and create better memories. I hope that it inspires you to explore something new or a new place.
Life is too short, so do the things that makes you happy. Thank you for stopping by and for checking me out! I hope you’ll join me in my journey.
“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than those you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the wind in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”~Mark Twain
